Génération Django
Description
Django Reinhardt like you have never heard him before!Django Reinhardt passed away on May 16, 1953. 70 years later, Edouard Pennes (Tchavolo Schmitt, Paris Jazz Sessions, RP quartet) has imagined a unique project to pay tribute to his music: to revisit it with a string quartet and the most exciting soloists of current gypsy jazz.
This album is constructed as a tribute to an artist who marked the history of Jazz, but is above all much more than a mere repetition. It is a new interpretation of a selection of tracks from the great manouche, to celebrate him as much as his creativity.
