A new gem discovered by the label RUF Records, EDDIE 9V hails from the Blues scene in Atlanta, Georgia. Having played in Blues and Soul clubs with his self-produced debut album released in 2019, "Left My Soul In Memphis," this multi-instrumentalist caught the eye of producer Thomas Ruf. His first international album was released on the Ruf label in June 2021, followed by "Capricorn" in March 2023. He has achieved success both with the specialized press and media, as well as with the public! This new album is therefore his third for the RUF label and once again drives the point home. Inspired by Albert Collins, Otis Rush, and Mike Bloomfield, EDDIE 9V recorded this album without overdubs, just like in the 70s, to achieve true authenticity in his Blues tinged with Soul. With influences from Muddy Waters, Howlin’ Wolf, Freddie King, and Rory Gallagher, he offers a return to high-quality electric Blues. Eddie delivers a vibrant soul sound with electric guitar, backing vocals, and brass, along with some gospel touches when needed! In the studio, the singer-guitarist-bassist-drummer plays freely. It doesn't matter if a good joke is heard or the clinking of glasses. "I was inspired by Albert Collins, Otis Rush, and Mike Bloomfield, who recorded with their friends in live conditions." On stage, Eddie 9V plays as if it were the first time, energized like a battery.
