Description

A new gem discovered by the label RUF Records, EDDIE 9V hails from the Blues scene in Atlanta, Georgia. Having played in Blues and Soul clubs with his self-produced debut album released in 2019, "Left My Soul In Memphis," this multi-instrumentalist caught the eye of producer Thomas Ruf. Inspired by Albert Collins, Otis Rush, and also Mike Bloomfield, EDDIE 9V recorded this album without overdubs, just like in the 70s, to achieve true authenticity in his Soul-tinged Blues. With influences from Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf, Freddie King, and Rory Gallagher, he offers us a return to high-caliber electric Blues.
