An essential acid folk artist, Ed Askew wrote the unmissable Ask The Unicorn (1968, ESP Records). Inactive for many years, he resurfaced in 2003 with the album Little Eyes, recorded a few years after Ask The Unicorn but never before released. Having returned to his artistic life with several albums released over the past 10 years, the goldmine of his early work was still far from being properly exploited, and Plastic Crimewave of Galactic Zoo Dossier understood this well. Exhuming 4 reels of radio recordings made between 1969 and 1970, he selected the choicest tracks to form this new album, which contains interpretations of the classics 'Francy That', 'Red Woman', and 'Mr. Dream' that are even more fascinating and touching than the original recordings. Fans of Donovan, Pearl Before Swine, or Bob Dylan will appreciate it. 1LP vinyl version.
