'Écran Total' is where Camille’s world and jazz music universe meets Margaux’s pop and artistic projects, developed between the Sorbonne and the Brussels School of Fine Arts. Margaux listens to current French pop music such as Malik Djoudi, Chevalrex or Julien Gasc. Her visual references include Monty Python's 'Meaning of Life', Hito Steyerl's 'How Not to Be Seen', and Jon Rafman's 'Dream Journal'. Camille listens to and admires Robert Wyatt and Tony Allen. Their EP 'Schaerbeek Love' is about love in a world swallowed by screens. It takes the form of a stroll between a state of love, astonishment, and reinterpretation of a world that suddenly appears absurd and inhumane. Their songs carry a new energy, a feeling of freedom and nonconformity, typical of a new encounter. Hooked, immersed, hypnotized. That's the effect of Écran Total's first EP, 'Schaerbeek Love'. The beautiful and gentle voice appears and melts into captivating rhythms. With candor and mischief, it asks questions, zooms in, exposes images, many images, guiding us towards the 'Green Ray'. Immersed in the slowness of the phrasing and the vibration of the choirs, our reveries awaken. As listeners, we have our place. We are invited to do nothing, just listen, carried away by soft and abundant sounds that relax the body and thoughts in the meanders of the subconscious. Margaux and Camille create these atmospheres of dense and electric feelings that run through us. Fascinated by the creative process, they retain this nebulous richness of atmospheres and meanings. Each track emanates a strong and expressive intuition, a groove. Their music breathes, speaks and sighs, questions, blossoms with dreaminess.
