Behind the pseudonym East India Youth is 24-year-old William Doyle, a prolific rising star on the British electronic scene. After a particularly busy 2014, with the release of his first album "Total Strife Forever," followed by a nomination for the prestigious Mercury Prize, which rewards the best British or Irish album of the year, and a long tour opening for These New Puritans, among others, the young man continues his momentum with "Culture of Volume" and confirms all the talent attributed to him. Recorded and largely produced at his home in London and mixed by Graham Sutton, this new opus sees East India Youth continue his electronic explorations, but with much more pop accents than on its predecessor. And the magic of the album lies precisely in the young man's incredible ability to reconcile influences as diverse and varied as Kraftwerk, Scott Walker, Brian Eno, and David Bowie in 10 fabulous tracks.
