The British collective Earthside is back with their style, dubbed "Cinematic Rock." In 2015, the four ambitious young musicians released their debut album, "A Dream In Static," a rare and uncompromising first effort, marked by emotional gravity, unbridled creativity, and songwriting artistry far beyond the age of any of the artists. Eight long years after their debut, Earthside's idealistic thinkers found themselves in a completely different world... or, perhaps, a world more honest and unbalanced than they and many others had imagined. 142 If truth is so important, so sacred that we perhaps consider it our most sacred principle, then why do we go to such great lengths to deny it as soon as it makes us uncomfortable or goes against our narrative? The result is Let The Truth Speak! A fusion of their influences (Dream Theater, Porcupine Tree, and sometimes even Pink Floyd), from heavy post-rock instrumentals to cinematic orchestral pieces and everything in between. World music, film scores, and non-traditional rock and metal elements are all brought to the forefront to create something new, unexplored.
