Description

This second album by the Eagles, "Desperado," was released in April 1973. It is a sort of concept album that evokes the Wild West and its outlaws, drawing a parallel between their lives and those of rock musicians. The band tours successfully in the United States, finally establishing themselves as a reliable act. The Eagles, who now wish to approach rock more directly, part ways with producer Glyn Johns, who would have preferred to continue emphasizing the melodic and lush side of their music. It is also with this goal in mind, and to strengthen the band, that they enlist a session musician, guitarist Don Felder, who quickly becomes the official fifth Eagle. Don Felder was born on September 21, 1947, in Topanga, California. In 1970, he recorded a jazz album with the group Flow.
