Los Angeles-based composer/arranger E. Lundquist (a.k.a. Eric Borders) returns with "Art Between Minds." After honing his craft on the hip-hop and beat scene in Los Angeles and exploring the realms of cosmic funk under previous aliases, E. Lundquist's music showcases a rich tapestry of influences, including library music, cinematic, and experimental jazz-infused sounds. He is now back with a new dose of his hallucinogenic sounds, using a multitude of vintage equipment to recreate that warm glow of 70s jazz-funk. From the Fender Rhodes MKI to the ARP Odyssey and the Mellotron, the keys and synths he employs on these tracks display a true appreciation for the groove music of The 'Me' Decade. While E. Lundquist's artistic talent will eventually take him to new sonic heights, the place he finds himself in now undoubtedly marks a high point in his career. He has become the torchbearer of jazz-funk in a new jazz revolution, updating the subgenre with his delicate balance of digital and analog elements that will easily appeal to fans of Kamaal Williams, Surprise Chef, BADBADNOTGOOD, Khruangbin, Robohands, and others.
