The Meanest Of Times is the 6th studio album by the Boston gang. It is a collection of stories about family, loyalty and memories. The Meanest Of Times contains all the ingredients of a great DROPKICK MURPHYS album: a dose of punk rock, a touch of Celtic rock and a pinch of rock'n'roll! Recorded at Outpost Studio in Stoughton, the 16 songs on The Meanest Of Times were lovingly produced by the DROPKICK MURPHYS themselves! Notable are the presence of 2 mythical figures from the Celtic scene: SPIDER STACY of the POGUES and RONNIE DREW of the DUBLINERS. Recently DROPKICK MURPHYS had the chance to have a track (I'm Shipping Up To Boston) used as the featured song in MARTIN SCORCESE's film Les Infiltrés! This generated more than 250,000 digital sales of this track. Since then, interest in the band has been growing, as proof a film produced by Cinemax and HBO will be broadcast in the USA at the start of the school year.
