The Unraveling
Description
The Unraveling has been largely inspired by the political situation in the United States, and arrives just in time for the upcoming American elections. It was recorded at the legendary Sam Phillips Recording Service studios in Memphis, under the guidance of producers Matt Ross-Spang (Jason Isbell, Margo Price) and David Barbe, a long-time collaborator of the band. The new album The Unraveling features some prestigious guests: Patti King of The Shins, violinist Kyleen King (Brandi Carlile), and Cody Dickinson of the North Mississippi All-Stars, who plays electric washboard on the track “Babies In Cages”. “Drive-By Truckers are kicking off this election year with The Unraveling, our first new album in three and a half years (the longest gap between new DBT albums).
