English Oceans

Description

The Southern Rock legend gains a new chapter. DRIVE BY TRUCKERS, a true Southern Rock institution, returns with a twelfth album. “English Oceans” is the record of a revitalized band, drawing on the best of itself to enjoy a second youth. Still eager to refine that distinctive sound born in the heart of the American “Dirty South,” founding members Patterson Hood and Mike Cooley once again display their immense songwriting talents. “English Oceans” thus symbolizes the perfect balance between unbridled Rock & Roll and subtle, emotional folk music. With spontaneity and authenticity, DRIVE BY TRUCKERS adds another stone to the edifice of Southern Rock & Roll. “Drive By Truckers may be the most emblematic representative of American Rock & Roll.” STEREOGUM “Over the last ten years, no one has written better songs than the founding members of Drive By Truckers, Patterson Hood and Mike Cooley.” PASTE MAGAZINE
