Description

Dorian Pimpernel practices a psychedelic pop infused with electronic incursions. The quintet will release their next album, Allombon, on Born Bad Records. They have notably shared the stage with Laetitia Sadier (Stereolab), Bertrand Burgalat, Barbara Carlotti, Julien Gasc, and Fugu. "A sort of supergroup with nebulous geology, Dorian Pimpernel is especially a favorite band for almost everyone who knows them, despite having released nothing but a collection of demos and a mini-album back in the Myspace days. Dandy to the core, sheltered from the world as it constantly slips through our fingers, the band sings in English, releases their music sparingly, and seems a bit indifferent to whether it is well listened to."
