Allombon

Description

Dorian Pimpernel plays psychedelic pop tinged with electronic incursions. The quintet is releasing its next album, Allombon, on Born Bad Records. They have notably shared the bill with Laetitia Sadier (Stereolab), Bertand Burgalat, Barbara Carlotti, Julien Gasc and Fugu. “A sort of supergroup with nebulous geology, Dorian Pimpernel is above all a cult band for almost everyone who knows them, and this without having released anything other than a collection of demos and a mini-album back in the Myspace era. Devilishly dandy, sheltered from the World as it keeps slipping through our fingers, the band sings in English, releases its music drop by drop, and seems to care little whether it is properly listened to”
