With a multi-generational eclecticism, this album is chaotic and powerful, and of a neglected virtuosity. Dorian Concept will release his new album “The Nature of Imitation” (his first on Brainfeeder) on August 31. It follows “Joined Ends,” released in 2014, an intimate project he described as his “chamber music” album and which led him to perform everywhere from Glastonbury to Sonar. Following that, he deliberately kept a low profile, and spent the 4 years that followed working on a new sound and refining the production of this new album. Drawing inspiration from a multi-generational eclecticism (60s jazz, 70s fusion, 80s prog-rock and 90s electro).
