After five albums, Étoiles Du Sol (2010), Message aux Anges Noirs (2012), Bohemian Rap Story (2016), Contes Cruels (2017), and Nomad's Land (2020), the series of digital EPs Narcozik, an album with the super collective Soleil Noir made up of Swift Guad, Davodka, and Euphonik, and numerous fiery concerts across France; Dooz Kawa has become an essential figure in French underground rap. His journey is particularly marked by the introduction of solid hip hop productions infused with Eastern European gypsy melodies, mandolin sounds played by Vincent Beer Demander, Nietzschean references influenced by philosopher Dorian Astor, high-profile features ranging from Bireli Lagrène to Gaël Faye, including Lucio Bukowski, Hippocampe Fou, JP Manova, Shantel, and Degiheugi, and of course, a flow that is as impeccable as it is relentless. Vol de Nuit, his sixth opus, enriches the already remarkable work of the Strasbourg emcee. This new album represents an intelligent continuation of the previous ones, with a collection of productions and features that perfectly harmonize with his deep, touching, and poetic lyrics. Notably, Demi Portion appears on "Les Monstres," while "Naufragé" is a piece worthy of an opera that could have been written for Captain Nemo. It is a musical theater marked by distress beacons, accompanied by his comrade Vincent Beer Demander. Swept away by the currents, one ends up far away, somewhere impossible… hallucinated in the narcotic depths. Vol de Nuit is a high-flying exercise that will keep its listeners in weightlessness.
