Etoiles Du Sol

Description

STARS OF THE SOIL Stars of the Soil is Dooz Kawa's first album, released in 2010. Dooz Kawa discovered the French-American underground rap scene at the age of twelve by sneaking into the cellars of military garrisons in Germany where his father was a soldier. Then, later, with the regiments abandoning former barracks that had become "Azilen" (refugee camps), he got closer to Eastern European musical influences. It was at the age of 16 that he arrived in Strasbourg and composed his first pieces. Two years later, he created T-Kaï Cee and for two years performed many concerts and local festivals with this collective (La Laiterie with Psy4 de la Rime, Summer Session with Killa Kela, etc.). In 2006, Dooz Kawa met Bireli Lagrène, the world-renowned Gypsy jazz prodigy; several tracks would be born from their remarkable friendship. In 2007, he was invited to join Bireli during his concert at the Cheval Blanc in Schiltigheim. There he met Mito, a Gypsy guitarist from the long line of Loefflers, who would participate with Bireli Lagrène on his first album, Étoiles du Sol.
