In three decades of passionate activism, Nicolas Laureau has refined his eminently personal approach to music that is both integral and open, infused with a rock spirit that distills an intense emotional charge, within his bands Prohibition and NLF3 as well as solo under the alias Don Nino. His seventh album, set to be released under this latter identity, was written, composed, and recorded over two months of a summer exile that was both restorative and set in the heart of the Normandy countryside. This pastoral setting has shaped the tone of this album in many ways, adding an exciting new chapter to a journey already rich with an impressive and unique resistance to alienating formats and fleeting trends.
