After a first single released in 2014 (La Nuit Je Dors/Le Rock Est Mort), the DON JOE RODEO COMBO returns this autumn with a debut album, still on Pop Sisters, distributed by [PIAS]. 10 tracks on the Vinyl LP (12 on the free CD included) superbly sharp with just the right amount of sophisticated boom boom. As this is a trio perpetuating the Frenchy-but-chic rock tradition, the reference to Bijou is easy (and claimed) but DON JOE's songs go beyond this obvious benchmark to take us, throughout the album, to much wider and more surprising spaces... Vocals to the fore and sharp guitars, as if Manset were accompanied by Link Wray... DON JOE (guitar and vocals) previously played in Boy Scouts and Le Prehistoric Pop, and still plays today in Indian Ghost. The rhythm section is composed of Laurent Olivaud (Drums, ex-Lucky Jungle Kids) and Patrick Pelenc (Bass) who was part of Jean Leloup's La Sale Affaire in the early 90's.
