Double

Description

Two virtuoso violinists travel through three centuries of music for two violins: rare and precious! Nikki and Timothy Chooi are two brothers, both laureates of the Queen Elisabeth Competition, and among the most active violinists on the international scene of their generation. “Double” is their first joint recording: a program made up of works by Prokofiev, Shostakovich, Moszkowski, Leclair, Sarasate and Dvorák for two violins and piano, one of the least documented formations in the chamber music repertoire. Accompanied by pianist Eunice Kim, they explore on this album three centuries of repertoire written for this ensemble.
