Road To Happiness

Description

A triumphant return! Road To Happiness marks the triumphant comeback of the one and only Manchester Dislocation Dance, after a seven-year hiatus. This new album, their sixth, contains ten new songs. The main songwriters Ian Runacres (guitar/vocals) and Phil Lukes (bass/vocals) have probably never sounded better. A bit like Manchester’s Nile Rodgers & Bernard Edwards, they create killer grooves, in the style of Chic and The Real Thing. Plenty of melodies, disco euphoria, and gorgeous vocals. Daft Punk meets Everything But The Girl. Ian Runacres formed DD in Manchester, and quickly brought in trumpeter Andy Diagram, who later joined The Pale Fountains and James. They created their unique blend of post-punk, new wave, jazz, disco, 60s French pop, and soundtracks. The band plays its very first concert at Manchester’s legendary Factory, records sessions for John Peel, Janice Long and Kid Jensen, and continues its own eclectic journey. They then embarked on their own eclectic journey, while retaining their unique DD sound. Today, they are back. With a truly fabulous album.
