Madre Selva
Description
Madre Selva is a musical journey imagined by Diana Baroni and Ronald Martin Alonso (Ensemble Vedado), as an ode to Mother Earth and the forces of life. From the Andes to Mexico, from the Caribbean to the Bolivian plateaus, the program blends oral traditions, poetry, and contemporary writings, sometimes in indigenous languages (Nahuatl, Quechua), in dialogue with older sources from Iberian and European history. At the heart of the narrative, the figure of Tlaloc, god of rain, carries the promise of a drop of water both fragile and vital, connecting the songs to Pacha Mama. The sonic alchemy brings together voice and traverso, viola da gamba, jarana and baroque guitar, aerophones, kora, and percussion, moving the music from lament to celebration, from whisper to collective breath. Between contemplation and dance, Madre Selva invites us to listen differently, to remember, and to protect what maintains the balance of the world.Buy Madre Selva at the best price
