Horizons

Description

Détroit is a musical project created by Bertrand Cantat and Pascal Humbert (Passion Fodder, 16 horsepower). The two musicians had collaborated in the past, notably on "Choeurs," the music illustrating the trilogy of Sophocles, staged at the theater by Wajdi Mouawad in 2011. The album "Horizons" was produced and mixed by Bertrand Cantat, Pascal Humbert, and Bruno Green. The recording sessions took place this summer at the Vega studio in Carpentras. The mixing sessions were held at La Frette Studios in Ile de France. The record contains 10 tracks, including 2 in English. The first single, the song "Droit dans le soleil," was co-written in Lebanon by Bertrand Cantat and Wajdi Mouawad, mixed by John Parish in London. It is worth noting that the guitar and vocal take of the piece was recorded by Wajdi Mouawad, in Beït-el-Din (Lebanon), at dawn, on a portable device. This voice remained the definitive take of the title.
