The iconic and pioneering group with multi-platinum albums Depeche Mode is releasing a remix set of their track "Going Backwards." This edition contains 9 remixes of "Going Backwards" and an unreleased remix of "Poison Heart."
"Going Backwards" is the second single from Depeche Mode's 14th studio album, "Spirit," which shot to the top of the charts upon its release in several countries such as Germany, France, Italy, Poland, Belgium, Switzerland, Austria, Portugal, and Denmark. Both acclaimed by fans and critics, "Spirit" also debuted in the Top 10 in 15 countries and reached the Top 5 in the United States and the United Kingdom. Q Magazine notably described "Spirit" as "the most exciting Depeche Mode album in years."
Known and recognized for the quality of their music videos as innovative and provocative as their music, Depeche Mode recently unveiled a stunning new video for "Going Backwards." This breathtaking video, filmed in 360 degrees, illustrates the track in a minimalist version. It was directed by Timothy Saccenti, known for his immersive photographic style, and features Depeche Mode in a stylized full-scale video experience.
"Spirit" was produced by James Ford of Simian Mobile Disco and marks the group's first collaboration with Ford (Foals, Florence + The Machine, Arctic Monkeys). "Spirit" follows the blockbuster "Delta Machine," released in 2013, which entered #1 on the Top Albums in 12 countries.
