My Window

Description

English pianist and composer Demian Dorelli studied classical piano from an early age and also played keyboards for jazz and pop bands. He then produced three Ambient albums under the name "SWARA" in collaboration with Joe Cang (Ian Dury, Marianne Faithfull, Aswad). His first album, "Nick Drake's Pink Moon – A Journey on Piano," was released in 2021. Demian arranged and performed piano transcriptions of guitar pieces from his hero Nick Drake's iconic album. In 2023, Demian Dorelli will release his first project of original solo piano compositions, "My Window." Some of the nine pieces are inspired by great painters like Hockney and Vermeer, while others recount scenes from his childhood. This project is an expressive journey through two art forms where the device of a window in the scene transformed what he saw.
