Recorded in 2022 for the BBC show Gideon Coe, which named The Delines' previous album, The Sea Drift, its best album of 2022. This is the band's first Christmas song, and it's also a classic from Willy Vlautin, released just in time to compete for a Christmas number 1. The single includes two other exclusive tracks that will not appear on the upcoming album. Earlier last year, The Delines released their third album, The Sea Drift, which featured in the top twenty end-of-year polls across the EU and the UK. It received number 1 in the UK (Americana UK, Uncut), as well as a top 20 spot in Uncut, Rolling Stone France, Volkstrant Holland, and El Pais Spain (El Pais). With over 100,000 records sold in Europe by The Delines and their former band, Richmond Fontaine, novelist and songwriter Willy Vlautin will see his seventh novel published in 2024 (Faber & Faber), and The Delines are currently in the studio finishing the recording of their fourth LP, which they will be touring in 2024.
