The album we were waiting for on DFA Records! Contemporary artist DELIA GONZALEZ returns to DFA Records with the bold album In Remembrance, a project that took shape between New York and Miami. At the time, the young artist was making her mark in the American art world through theater and dance troupes. She then met pianist Gavin Russom, addicted to all kinds of synthesizers and analog compressors. Together they began a series of collaborations of all kinds, the most notable of which is their cosmic acid-house album The Days Of Mars, also released on DFA in 2005. This resulted in a stunning single, Relevee, remixed notably by the legendary Detroit techno producer Carl Craig. In Remembrance is the logical continuation of DELIA's career. Originally stemming from her solo project, which she began in 2010 and presented on stage in Naples at the Fonti gallery in 2012, her work accompanied contemporary performances where dance and video were intertwined. She also presented this opus in 2012 at New York's Clocktower gallery alongside musicians from the underground scene such as Alice Cohen and Bryce Hackford. The latter is also behind 4 remixes on In Remembrance, making DELIA's gentle piano ready for the clubs.
