For their new album "Whoosh!", Deep Purple has, for the 3rd time, enlisted the services of Bob Ezrin (Pink Floyd, Alice Cooper). The producer invited the band to his home in Nashville and they created together the most varied album of their collaboration.
For this opus, the band took different directions, never setting limits in order to let their creativity flow, while returning to their roots and thus giving a sense back to the name Deep Purple for long-time fans. From the very first track, Ezrin & Deep Purple understood that they were about to create an album that pushes the boundaries of time, while expressing their feelings about the current world and addressing all generations.
In recent years, Deep Purple has gradually evolved towards new horizons, intriguing fans who were not yet born when the "Purple machine" dominated the music world. The success of their albums "In Rock" (1970), "Machine Head" (1972), and "Made In Japan" (1973) had propelled them among the leaders in terms of concert ticket and album sales worldwide, particularly thanks to hits such as the immortal "Smoke On The Water".
"Infinite", the 20th studio album of the band released in 2017, became one of their greatest successes, breaking numerous records in the charts, and confirming the renewed popularity of these hard rock legends, as they approach the anniversary of their 50 years of career.
