TURNING TO CRIME

Released in the middle of the pandemic, Whoosh, Deep Purple’s latest album, was a real success and allowed the band to stay in a positive, adrenaline-filled energy despite the complicated global context. This forced the band members to stay at home but above all to think differently about the way they create music together. This led them to conceive Turning to Crime, a very special new project and a first in their career. Entirely made up of “covers” of great rock classics and musical gems carefully chosen by each of the band members, Turning to Crime includes tracks by Bob Dylan, Fleetwood Mac, Bob Seger, as well as a few nice surprises. Turning to Crime reflects the band’s moods at the time they launched into this project, and Deep Purple once again surprises its fans with an album that is different in every way from what Paice, Morse, Gillan, Airey and Glover have offered so far.
