For all time, Deep Purple has unquestionably been one of the greatest British Rock bands, with more than 100 million albums sold since the band was formed in 1968. In 1975, no rock event in Austria was more important than Deep Purple’s concert at the Liebenauhalle, an ice hockey arena in the south of Graz, Austria. On April 3, 1975, the tape machines of the Rolling Stones mobile studio recorded a unique performance. A performance that, to this day, has never been released.
