Recorded at the Black Box Studios in Angers under the direction of Peter Deimel, then mixed by Andy Blundell (Gnod), this first album develops a language where krautrock, noise rock, psychedelia, and proto-punk intersect in a form of collective trance. Singing alternately in French, English, and Spanish, Ric Lara leads the compositions into a universe where timbre, rhythm, and repetition take precedence over narration, supported by the intertwined guitars of Lucas Valero and Grégoire Couvert. More homogeneous and ambitious than its predecessor, Dééfait confirms the band's desire to build a dense and immersive work, driven by raw energy and a pronounced taste for sound experimentation.
