"Ticket to Fame" may sound grandiose as a title, but ultimately, it isn't. The music confirms it: the beautiful electro-pop songs and delicate instrumental arrangements remind us that life is sometimes a puzzle, but it's still worth living. The duo takes its name from Wassily Kandinsky's painting "Decisive Pink," a work that perfectly reflects Kate and Angel's abstract geometry as well as the very essence of the project. "Ticket To Fame" explores several themes, one of which is how we communicate with each other in these uncertain times. In contrast, other tracks evoke more offbeat themes, such as solving a crossword puzzle. "What Where" humorously examines how we transmit and receive information. It immediately creates a sense of mystery; the synth motif reminiscent of a marimba and the shimmering bells suggest that we have entered a secret room... perhaps to discover the future. "Ticket to Fame" is openly romantic both in its atmosphere and its tone.
