Death From Above 1979’s long-awaited comeback album, The Physical World, released on September 5, 2014 via Last Gang Records / Caroline International, is now being reissued. Death From Above 1979 consists of Jesse F. Keeler (bass, synthesizer) and Sebastien Grainger (vocals, drums), an indie rock trio from Toronto, Canada. Ten years after the success and acclaimed debut album You’re a Woman, I’m a Machine, the second album The Physical World was finally released. The album was produced by D. Sardy, who has worked in the studio with Oasis, Red Hot Chili Peppers and LCD Soundsystem, among others. This collaboration is already evident on the first single, Trainwreck 1979. An infectious interplay between electric bass and drums, as well as the ever-popular electronic rhythms and Sébastien’s vocals, make Trainwreck 1979 an incredible anthem and more than just a sign of life. It is therefore no surprise that Zane Lowe, the famous BBC Radio One presenter, plays the song twice in one of his shows and that all music magazines and blogs around the world are publishing unprecedented praise on the World Wide Web.
