The dreampop duo deary is releasing a new six-track EP titled Aurelia, on Sonic Cathedral. This EP includes the singles The Moth, Selene, and The Drift, featuring Simon Scott, drummer of Slowdive, on three tracks. Available in several formats, Aurelia showcases a new maturity both musically and lyrically. Inspired by the theme of metamorphosis, the title Aurelia refers to a lepidopterist and evokes change. The writing process was influenced by the personal experiences of members Dottie and Ben, who incorporated reflections on their evolution. Musically, the EP presents varied tracks, ranging from screaming guitars to pop melodies, and reflects a more collaborative and intimate approach compared to their previous work.
