The debut album from producer and multi-instrumentalist Vincent Girault is a bubble of innocence, a preserved, almost virginal territory where you ride, hair flying, through the world of childhood and wide-open spaces. Organic instruments and sustained tempos intertwine with poetry and sensuality, forming a natural bridge between pop music and experimentation. But the strength of these 12 songs also lies in its host of "Dreamers," the 10 guest vocalists on this kaleidoscopic opus. Louise Roam delivers the captivating "Tempête," John And The Volta reaches for the heavens on "Mama," and La Féline invites us to forget everything in the undertow on "Une Vague." A drummer by training, Vincent Girault plays with rhythms and textures, from the radiant "Make It With U," featuring Basile Di Manski and the Canadian group Valaire, to the cabalistic "Magnolia" and "Magnificat," with the spirits of Moderat and Bonobo rarely far away. De La Romance made a splash in 2015 with the release of a vinyl compiling his first two EPs, "As We Feel" and "Secret World." Vincent Girault showcased weightless electronic pop supported by numerous cinematic music videos. "Dreamers" confirms this ambition for technicolor heights with even greater freedom. An album that seems to whisper to our numb souls that it's high time to live our dreams.
