Spiritual project

Description

"Spiritual Project" : initially, the idea of this original project was to interpret gospel singing standards with jazz arrangements, gypsy swing; but by bringing together musicians with different musical experiences (flamenco, Indian music, jazz...) the project evolved to favor original compositions imbued with these different universes while keeping a trait unique to gospel, spirituality. The musicians gathered for this project, who are also from or very close to the Romani, gypsy, and manouche community, are exceptional: Antonio El Titi (Jaleo de Louis Winsberg...) on guitar, Dominique Di Piazza (notably John McLaughlin) on electric bass, Xavier Sanchez on percussion (Paris Jazz Big Band, Yvan le Bolloc'h...) as well as the guests: Costel Nitescu (Marcel Azzola, Yves Rousseau, Rocky Gresset...) on violin and Emy Dragoï on accordion. The grandson of Django, son of Babik, David Reinhardt fully embraces his musical heritage. His first two albums in trio with Florent Gac on Hammond organ and Yoan Serra on drums received a very favorable reception from both the media and the public, and his numerous performances as a sideman (James Carter...) have allowed him to reach a maturity and serenity, both in his playing and in his writing, which can be found in the repertoire of this very beautiful album.
