'The Buddha of Suburbia' is the 19th album by David Bowie. It seems a bit rough and with a touch of unfinished quality. If it hadn't been linked to the exemplary dramatization of his book by Hanif Kureishi, and if Bowie had called it something like Strangers, it would have received much more attention in hindsight and would have been presented as a successor to 'Low and Heroes'.
