The legendary guitarist of Slade, Dave Hill, announces the release of his long-awaited debut solo album, Dirty Foot Lane, scheduled for October 2026. Known for his flamboyant guitar playing and as a founding member of Slade, Hill here explores a more personal and introspective artistic universe, with a collection blending rock, blues, folk, and atmospheric vibes. Drawing inspiration from memories, family, ambition, triumph, trials, and a lifelong passion for music, the album takes the listener on an emotional journey through Dave's life, from his beginnings when he dreamed of becoming a musician to his international success with Slade. Dirty Foot Lane features powerful tracks inspired by the stage, mental health, confinement, family, resilience, and introspection - all connected by the title track that Dave describes as: "My story - my family, my home, my journey." Produced in collaboration with Django Holder, with contributions from his longtime collaborator John Berry and producer Rob Childs, this album reveals a new Dave Hill.
