After several platinum records and a Grammy Award with DEPECHE MODE, David Gahan, with the duo Soulsavers, are preparing to release a new album titled "Angel & Ghosts." This album follows their previous collaboration in 2012 with the critically acclaimed album "The Light the Dead See." This absolutely captivating album will feature 9 tracks, entirely written by Dave Gahan & Soulsavers. "Angel & Ghosts" marks an evolution from their first album with more expressive and powerful tracks. Listeners can expect a dark atmosphere with melancholic sounds and elements drawn from gospel and blues, all added to the precision and beauty of the work of Dave and Soulsavers, which is now their trademark. Dave Gahan's powerful and poignant voice touches us like never before and takes us into carefully and precisely composed landscapes. On this project, the collaboration was transatlantic, with the writing process orchestrated by Dave Gahan and Rich Martin of Soulsavers through exchanges of demos and ideas from their respective studios in Manhattan for Dave and the English countryside for Rich. They then recorded the album with additional musicians in studios around the globe, with prestigious studios like Sunset Sound in Los Angeles and Electric Lady in New York. The result is a vibrant and poignant album that marks the complicity between Rich Machin and Dave Gahan at the level of composition.
