Darkthrone returns in 2013 with The Underground Resistance, an album blending heavy, thrash, and black metal in a completely free spirit. Formed in the late 80s, the duo Fenriz / Nocturno Culto initially evolved between thrash, death, and doom before becoming a major reference in Norwegian black metal and a central influence in the extreme scene. With this album of six long and contrasting tracks, the band continues its exploration of 80s sounds, featuring classic heavy riffs, thrash aggression, and black metal energy. The Underground Resistance is written and recorded at Necrohell 2 Studio, then mastered by Jack Control, with a cover designed by Jim Fitzpatrick.
