The Nordic duo of primitive metal returns with a new explosive album "Pre-Historic Metal" 'Pre-Historic Metal' contains eight epic tracks and gargantuan riffs with an organic sound and the omnipresent spirit of the 70s and 80s, for a new continuation of the mastery already seen on 'It Beckons Us All' from 2024.
This new chapter in the extensive and ongoing catalog of Darkthrone presents a vast odyssey through the soundscapes of Thrash, Black, Heavy, and Doom Metal. With a guitar presence that is both punishing and "in your face," Darkthrone stirs the cauldron of wild creativity while winking at the characteristic writing methods of their early works from the late 80s, but with a more refined craftsmanship. 'Pre-Historic Metal' was recorded at Chaka Khan Studios, Oslo, with production handled by Ole Øvstedal, Silje Høgevold, and Mads Luis. The mastering was done by Jack Control at Enormous Door, as well as by Maor Appelbaum Mastering.
