Six years have passed since Dark Thoughts' last record, and the world is in ruins. But for 16 minutes, Dark Thoughts bring you back into the sun. We are beyond thrilled to be part of the release of their fourth record (the always excellent Stupid Bag Records will handle the vinyl in the US). Dark Thoughts means everything to me, it's punk with one foot in 1978 and the other tomorrow. They have a knack for writing two-minute punk gems. While Jim's lyrics can be deeply personal, there's always hope, things will get better, right? "Everyone derails, for a little while," absolutely. The songs are about friendship, love, loyalty, dealing with grief. But most of all, hope. They squeeze 11 songs onto 'Highway to the End' in 16 minutes, but hey, you can just take your foot off the gas and start over. Like all the best records.
