WRWTFWW Records is delighted to announce the release of Nighthawks, the new collaborative album by composer Azumi Okamura and musician/sound designer Andrea Esperti, available on limited edition vinyl (300 copies worldwide!) cut at 45 RPM, and presented in a thick sleeve with double-sided printing. A sublime convergence of Japanese piano poetry and Swiss sound craftsmanship, Nighthawks brings together the intimate and moving compositions of Azumi Okamura and Andrea Esperti's refined approach to sound design. Known for his collaboration with ambient legend Takashi Kokubo, Esperti here extends that sensibility into an intimate and immersive space. Echoes of dreams from an imaginary world run through the album: forgotten memories that gently resurface before fading away. The music unfolds like a series of interior scenes—introspective and rich in atmosphere—where minimalist piano motifs meet organic textures and subtle electronic nuances. Drawing inspiration from the emotional solitude of Edward Hopper's urban landscapes, Nighthawks strikes a subtle balance between calm and warmth.
