Trio de Liberté ! In 1980, the trio of Daniel Humair, François Jeanneau, and Texier recorded this album initially intended to illustrate a wildlife documentary. They did not know that Akagera would become one of the founding moments of an aesthetic and an ethic of French Jazz! 40 years later, it remains a model of the genre. The instrumentation first (sax / bass / drums) was already unique at the time, then the creative power of a trio where each musician finds a cardinal place, far from a simple rhythm that accompanies a soloist.
