"One day, 2 or 3 years ago, while searching for a photo that I had put away too well, I dropped a book. As it fell, the book opened to the front page. Right away I recognized my mother's handwriting: For Dany, my dear son (Dany is me) these wonderful poems by Paul-Jean Toulet to read when you are grown up. Avignon 1957. Mom. At that moment I thought that my mother had taken a long time to find me grown up. I read and reread these counter rhymes with more and more emotion until the day when, who knows why, I started to attach guitar chords to these emotions. Little by little, melodies were born from each new poem I read. Like Monsieur Jourdain who wrote prose without knowing it, I was making songs without wanting to. Like a game in the secrecy of my room and then because our hearts are too full, a desire to share. So as it is my profession, I moved from my room to the stage. And on a desire, a certainty, I moved from the stage to this album. My meeting with Gaëtan Roussel was obvious. His keen musical eye and arrangements naturally accompanied my music. Inspired by the words I was able to write, he also composed for my greatest happiness the music for 'Si vous m'aviez connu' and 'Rouge Indigo' and produced the album." Daniel Auteuil
