Misty Flats

Description

In 1974, after his pop group The Batch broke up, Barry Thomas GOLDBERG began recording a solo album: Misty Flats. While The Batch's music was pop and harmonious, like bands such as Big Star or The Rubinoos, Misty Flats was created in the context of the end of the Vietnam War and is characterized by an intimate folk style imbued with desolation and solitude. However, the author's initial intention was to make a punk rock record. "I wanted to be the originator of the first punk rock album; maybe I would have achieved that result if I had recorded these tracks with a band." GOLDBERG recorded this album in two days with his friend Michael Yonkers, author of the legendary Microminiature Love. Misty Flats is now being released on CD for the first time. The remastered album is also being reissued for the first time on 180-gram vinyl, a deluxe gatefold edition, and includes a card allowing digital download of the album.
