"Brothers and Sisters of the Eternal Son" is the 11th studio album by the American songwriter and probably his best. Damien Jurado sees this album as a follow-up to "Maraqopa", its predecessor, also released by Secretly Canadian in 2012, and already critically acclaimed: "my last record was based on a dream I had of a man who disappears, he leaves his home and decides to disappear. This one is about a man who goes in search of himself and never comes home." It is therefore logical that Damien Jurado chose to continue working with producer Richard Swift (Foxygen, The Shins), but this time turning to reggae influences in spirit and dub in textures to create "a specific universe, with its own symbolism, its creation myth and its liturgy" as explained by Father John Misty, the former member of Fleet Foxes.
