'Good Time' is the first album by the noise-pop group DAIISTAR from Austin, Texas, released on September 8, 2023 via Fuzz Club. Creating a narcotic blend of noise and melody, the band draws inspiration from the neo-psychedelic era of the 80s and 90s and pulls it into the future with modulating synthesizers, heavy guitars, bouncing bass lines, and spiraling hooks. 'Good Time' was produced by Alex Maas of the Black Angels and designed by James Petralli of White Denim. Comprised of Alex Capistran (guitar/vocals), Nick Cornetti (drums), Misti Hamrick (bass), and Derek Strahan (keyboards), DAIISTAR formed in the spring of 2020, just a few weeks before the pandemic began. “For us, these songs were a glimmer of hope,” says Capistran: “Starting a band at the height of the pandemic may seem ill-timed for some, but for us, it was a way to escape for a moment. There was something to look forward to and we kept our cool for the future. These songs guided us through dark times and I hope they can do the same for you. The GOOD TIME is here.
