Originally released in 1983, Cybotron's debut album has long been considered a seminal release from Detroit's electro/house scene. Created by Vietnam veteran Rik Davis and funk artist Juan Atkins, Cybotron combines the eclectic synth-pop of Kraftwerk and the experimental electro of Yellow Magic Orchestra. This reissue features the original album with the first version of "Clear," later replaced by a remix, as well as several bonus tracks including the remix, B-side singles, and some alternative versions. The booklet contains the original artwork, band photos, label images, and notes written by Dave Tompkins. Also available is the single "Clear/Techno City," one of the band's hit tracks from the album Enter, which sold over 50,000 copies.
