Formed in 2019, Church Village Collective – or CVC – takes its name from the place where the group was formed, at the top of a hill in the Welsh Valley, sixteen kilometers north of Cardiff. The band consists of singer Francesco Orsi, guitarists and singers David Bassey and Elliot Bradfield, bassist Ben Thorne, drummer Tom Fry, and keyboardist and percussionist Daniel 'Nanial' Jones. CVC presents rich and melodic music, infused with the history of rock, and enhanced by three-part harmonies. CVC has had an exceptional year, with the release of their critically acclaimed EP Real to Reel. The first single from Get Real, their debut album, titled "Good Morning Vietnam," is an energetic song that showcases the band's keen ear for melody. Notably, this debut album is still mixed by Ross Orton (Arctic Monkeys), who was already at the helm for the EP. The album was lovingly recorded in the living room of a student house in Cardiff, around a single microphone, as the band sought a new sound. It was crafted from the band's experience rather than their experimentation, providing a direct view into the heart and soul of CVC. Throughout the summer, CVC has been busy on the road, attracting a new base of very dedicated fans thanks to their incredibly festive shows.
